Batman and Robin Vol. 2: Pearl (the New 52), Peter Tomasi

Despre carte

"Damian Wayne was born to rule, but instead he chooses to serve, punishing evil as the Dark Knight''s latest protégé, Robin. But he''s made enemies of his father''s foes and friends alike. Nightwing, Red Robin and the Red Hood, all former Robins, are willing to go to war to protect their mentor''s legacy, even if it means battling Batman''s son. The Court of Owls, Gotham''s most ruthless secret society, has sent its birds of prey, the unstoppable assassins called Talons, to clip Robin''s wings for good. Terminus, permanently scarred by his battle with the Bat, aims to disfigure Gotham City in turn. The cannibal cult The Saturn Club hungers to feed on the flesh of Gotham''s people, focused on Robin as a dark delicacy. And Talia al Ghul, Robin''s terrorist-mastermind mother, who once prepared her son''s head for a crown, has now put a $500 million bounty on it. Will these perils forge Robin into a true hero, a pearl beyond price? Or is he on the verge of transformation into something much darker?"--Cover of paperback edition.
